Missing Cache Files
« on: November 27, 2005, 09:03:00 PM »

I was gona have a try at Halo CE hex editing.  According to the tutorials that I've read, you need to delete your cache files first.  So I FTP into my xbox and noticed that the X,Y, and Z partitions are all empty.  Hmm weird.  So I popped in the Halo CE disc and loaded BG and then shutdown.  Then I FTP into my xbox to extract the cache003 file and again, the X, Y, and Z folders have absolutely nothing in them.

Any ideas why I have no cache files?

Thanks

You may want to try a thread in the game hacking forum they have a dedicated section just for Halo Hacking.

Do you think they may be referring to the cache files stored on the E partition? (E:\cache)

I'll check and see what I can find.

The cache files that are located on E:/ seem to be xbl cache files.  One of the files contained my friends list from xbl.

So I guess I'm still stumped.  Why don't I have any cache files in my X, Y, or Z partitions?

Thanks

you dont have to bump it every 3 hours man, sometimes it may take a day or 2 to get what your looking for. and most of the time it will automatically delete all the crap in the cache automatically

Try loading BG, then 2 other lvls.  Play around for a few mins and then reboot and look.
