Are you editing the .map itself of the cache files? If you're modding the map itself, then you need to clear out the cache files each time... If you'de editing the cache... you did something wrong if it doesn't load.

Interesting... are you sure it's the right cahce that you're loading? You might want to clear them out and try again

Seems like lots of people are having trouble with dot-halo... I'd try HMT and see if it makes a difference.
