Everything I write is based on publically available facts - unlike everyone else who's posted a lot of rubbish here (including yourself).

What I posted was public knowledge also. You post from Nintendo sites who of course are gonna spin doctor there bad times. Check IGN also they too are reporting on Nintendo loosing money and loosing ALOT. You talk about it doesnt matter how much they loose, it matters how much they have in the bank well in that case the XboX is the most succesfull console of all time cause M$ hasn't made shit off it, but they got a boat load of cash in the bank, lol.

That a site with Nintendo in the hostname happens to report about things doesn't necessarily mean it's "spun".

http://cube.ign.com/...2/432158p1.html

"August 05, 2003 - Nintendo today reported a net profit of 11.45 billion yen (or $95 million) for the April-June period, which puts it on track to meet is first-half goal of 15 billion yen."

(The 80k figure in that report, which came from Reuters, was since debunked by Nintendo. It's 800k)

Nintendo has never lost "A LOT" of money. Ever. Feel free to check that statement. They're one of the most successful companies ever. Quoting the link you posted yourself:

"Nintendo announces that it expects to post the first loss in its history for the six months to September."

... first loss in its history. Does that sound like "A LOT" to you?

From the same article:

"Nintendo attributes the losses not only to the poor sales performance of its GameCube console, but also to foreign exchange losses of some 40 billion yen ($360 million)."

... as I said - the weak dollar. It's been known for a long time that Nintendo depends a lot on the yen-dollar exchange rate, so, instead of claiming Nintendo is losing a lot of money - blame that idiot Bush in the whitehouse. Nintendo themselves are doing quite nicely, like they always have - which is ALSO in the link you yourself posted:

"Despite today's announcement, Nintendo still expects to post a net profit of 60 billion yen ($540 million) for the year ending March 2004"

...

(Am I the only one who's a lot older than 14 here? More than the double even .. )

1) Bush is the reason the dollar has fallen through the basement (and according to Nintendo they've lost 360 million on the exchange rate, and still only show a loss of 27 million - so - without the fall of the dollar, what would the profit have been then?)

2) 27 million is peanuts compared to what they STILL expect to show as a PROFIT for the whole fiscal year: 540.

... geez. Learn how to read.

the day a addon will pop up for the unit. till that day comes we just have to chill and wait.
I'm just hoping the price of the mini dvd's go down and a nice type of internal mod will be applied to the system to get some extra options. But it that dont happend at least some person out there is working on a mod. How do i know this you might ask. Well its just something that i would think someone can make money on so there is $$$ in it for the long run.

Well, just went through the whole thread...........
All I have to say is it really that important to debate with such ferosity of how many units which console sold the most and which corp makes more money????????????? Is that the original idea of this topic?????
The original topic was on ideas about the project of making Gamecube run ISOs from PC, designing a modchip ideas and such.....and has turned out from this thread.....??????

Common people, lets just slowly step back from all that "sells-profit-loss-27million-gamecube-xbox-information....." stuff...and turn back to hacking gamecube!!!!!!

I think both companies are too scared to release numbers on their consoles specifically

No, they do it in their financial quarterly reports. Feel free to visit their websites for the official numbers.

That's why it's nuts to be a shouting fanboy spreading rumours. The facts _are_ available smile.gif

Troed if you know so much about GC security why have you not said anything new or interesting in this post? You talk about peeps age and I would bet money your some kid who wants everyone to think there l33t or some lame shit like that.

What's your bet?

I'm a 29 year old professional Software Engineer - and one of the people who've hacked the Xbox I'm sure many of you here are using. Feel free to look that up wink.gif

"with BBA/PSO exploit"

*gasp*

A bug has been found in a network enabled game on the GC - that's as much news as the 007 hack on the Xbox. Nice - but it's not a break of the system. Let's see - have I written that before in this thread?

Yes.

Now what else did I write?

Go back and check.
