QUOTE (supernewbie @ Jul 30 2004, 11:26 AM)
im a total newbie in halo modding. i want to know if i can play on new halo multiplayer maps on a cd. i made a halo multiplayer cd by burning some files of the halo game like the default.xbe, the maps, the intro.... and i can play multiplayer with the cd. but i want to know if i could put different maps on it by putting a new map in the maps folder and naming it like an original map like for example bloodgulch.map  ????        if this is not possible then how can i play on different maps... ?? could you give me a link to a newbie tutorial or tell me what to do once i have a new map.?? but after i get the new maps working i wont be able to use alll the oringinal maps, right?? but if  i wanted to use them alll i would have to do would be erase all the cache files again, am i right??? could i get banned from xbox live if i have these modded maps?? could you use the modded maps with the modchip turned of?? oh and i almost forgot i have a pal xbox from italy and my halo game is in spanish or italian.... can i use maps made for ntsc or other pal xboxes that arent from italy or spain .... cuz on xbconnect i can only play with people that have an italian or spanish halo game.... thanks in advance biggrin.gif  beerchug.gif

Ummmm....you need to re-read your post and think things over a bit.  laugh.gif

First - how can you get banned from Xbox Live while you're playing Halo, which can't even use XBL?

Second - Of course you can't make your own Halo CD and play it without a chip (unless you do an exploit) because an unmodded box will only boot retail games.

And the rest of that--I can't understand what you're saying very well but if you look around a bit here you can figure it out yourself fairly easily.
