Some mods cannot be compresses, you CAN do it with those ones, however, just look at the NMP interface

This is a n00b queston but what is the NMP interface. I've herd about it but i don't know what it is.

By NO means am I an expert, but when that would happen to me it was because I didn't replace the name in the map hex correctly and the game couldn't find the map it was looking for. Eg. - I used a bloodgulch map to replace putput and since the name bloodgulch is longer than putput, there are extra characters left. Well like a retard, I forgot to replace the hex for the remaining letters with 0's. So the game saw the name "putputulch", but couldn't find "putput" so it didn't load the map.
