Halo Mods Questions
« on: May 11, 2004, 07:27:00 PM »

if i understand you correctly then yes there is a very simple way.

when you apply a ppf patch in halo your applying it to a cache file (which is a temporary storage file).
The cache folder only holds 3 maps so loading up three different multiplayer maps will delete the cache and when you select the previously modded level again it will be the default level.

or if you use HCE you can use that to clear the cache.

either way there ya go

yes if you do it like that you can only have 3 levels patched at a time. ie - hh, chill, wiz. you play those 3 then you go to pris; next time you open up hh your mods will be gone.

there's 2 solutions to this. first is Halo Cache Editor. with that you can load the .ppf patches onto your xbox and patch it/load cache from your box without the need to ftp.

second is put a second copy of halo on your hd. put the modded bg map you made on your hd to take the place of the original bg file. that way you can open as many maps as you want without ever losing your modded map.
