Can Halo Run In Widescreen Mode?

I just got a new widescreeen HD Television.  I have my xbox set to 16:9, but when halo starts it goes back to 4:3.  Has anyone heard anything about how to make it run wide...it really messes up my sensitivity to strech it out like that.

halo is not a 16:9 game according to teamxbox.com
