isnt cache 2 a cache file, i thout we are patching the actual game files

well in time i will be a real haxor, in about 200 more posts i shall

for now im learning, check out wut i have learned so far

It is a cache file, and to make it permanent, you must compress the patched cache file and put it in your halo maps directory.

k, i am lost

is there a tutorial

so i have to patch, then compress, this is getting confusing

Alright, I assume you know how to patch a cache file.  Then open the cache002 mapfile in Sparkedit.  Go into File -> save as compressed.  Then you replace ui.map with the newly compressed map file.  If that was hard to understand, just let me know.
