are there any maps for halo that can be downloaded or made or whatever for use in system link versions of the game?

You can use any mod for system link as long as each xbox has the same mod done to it.  There aren't any officially new xbox maps, as you can't play maps for halo pc on xbox or anything, but there are some homemade maps.  Go to halomods.com -->files-->ntsc  

Check out Ultramagnus's Skytore and Galite maps, and you can also check out "the Void" and a little crappy map I made using the void, which is called "torture chamber".

I know how to FTP and all that shit but is this a ppf or wat

Theres a tutorial on halo-mods, but the easiest way for me when im at friends houses. Just download HCE (halo cache editor) then put the ppf files you download from halomods.com and put them in Ntsc/Ppf folder and then it will show up. Now, go to hce on your xbox, press back, then clear cache (will load up halo), now load up the map that the hacked file is used for. Then just load it up, quit out, wait till you get to the main menu of halo. Press the reset usually (back, start, right and left trigger), , now go to hce, press back, go to patch map, click the hack you want, now click the map your using it for. It will patch, when it says complete PRESS A, then B, then start (will load halo) now click the hacked map.

P.S. Don't load more then 1 map when doing this. You need to clear cache each time.

also to correct you on your first post. the files on halo-mods are actually edit's of the maps. cache files are created everytime you launch a map of halo, so it edits it, and when you load another map it edits it etc.. So the hack stays ith it until oyu clear the cache.
