Ways To Mod Halo?

Hey, i was jsut wondering. If there is an easy tool, made just to edit halo? Like graphics  based, kinda like "spark edit". But i cant figure out how to do anything really cool in spark edit. ALl i can do, is move a few things. I want to like change the bullets, damage, looks of all the guns.

So how do most of theese ppl do it. I ahve dont some stuuf useing Hex Workshop. But thats really confusing, and i have no idea how to do models.

So my main question is. What program should i use to mod halo? I dont care if it runes on the xbox, or the PC. But i havent found any the run on xbox.

Halo Cache Editor is by far the easiest program to use because you run it right on your xbox.  But you won't be able to edit any models with it.  If you just wanna swap the projectiles and play with the damage caused by them, than thats the way to go.  I haven't personally messed with the bitmaps and such for modeling and skinning yet though, so I'd take jaysoccer's advice if u wanna get into the more advanced stuff.

when u say injecting models what  kind of models can u inject  could  u make  a model from 3d max then stick it in halo?

you can modify the models from halo....keeping the same vertices and indices...
