I noticed while using this application that the author added some weapons and tools (Gravity Gun, Flamethrower). Is it possible for me to make weapons and maybe even vehicles?

they were in the game all the time just not used, bungie decided at last moment to leave them out but forgot to remove the code

Yes, you can. But, it has to be within reason, as far as vertices and indices.
