so is anyone working on map rebuilding (HMT or SparkEdit), or was it all scrapped. Im guessing that this would some of these things a whole lot easier.

from what i hear i thought CLuis was workin on it but to be honest i have no idea... all i know is mono isnt making it (publicly) for HMT

the way i see it is that if someone isnt going to be developing anymore, they should at least release the source code. Take HCE for example. In the beginning it was pretty limited as to what you could add to it, and was buggy, and then when it went open source it took off. Now look at all the stuff we can do with the program. I just feel its a waste of time stopping halfway through a project. Thats just my opinion though.

well if u wanna know the story, from what i remember i was usin hce and i just thought the prog had so much potential but i had never seen any updates, so i spent like a week figurin out how to get in contact with XW and asked if there would be any updates and i sent some ideas i had. this is where it gets foggy... either he decided to start up HCE again because i asked him to, or said that he was in the process of totally recoding it, but thats when hce started to really take off. i sent more ideas in and b4 i knew it we were talkin daily about it and pretty much still do

dry.gif  Isn't it odd that HPC has been out for a couple of months and people are rebuilding maps for it, and Halo, which is two years old, has no one working on it?

When I mod with HDD Hex Editor on my PC all I have to do is find something like 233dbf8, and type D4 83 98 80 in it's place....im trying to do other things but I can't....I try to use the codes that I downloaded, it looks like this:

Banshee bolt (vehicles/banshee/banshee bolt)
(0xfaab038) 68 3a 1f 81 [0x108e5c68 - 0x108e756b] [0xeae40970]  

Banshee fuel rod (vehicles/banshee/banshee fuel rod)
(0xfaab118) 08 66 1f 81 [0x108e8808 - 0x108ea003] [0xeaeb0977]

But it doesn't seem to work when I try to make these 'things' come out of my AR or whatever....

Anybody have any tips?  68 3a 1f 81     &    08 66 1f 81 are the #'s I try to type but they don't work...

Those codes are for halo cache editor's bloodgulch.ini file.  You can't put those offsets (the numbers 0x123abcd are called offsets)  such as fuel rod or banshee unless you inject them because they don't naturally exist in the level bloodgulch.  You can't use offsets from the silent cartographer, for example, in blood gulch.

wink.gif I would like to annouce that I am officially a dumbass...I loaded the 'hex codes' for AOTCR on BG ohmy.gif , so I think I solved that problem...Now I just need to figure out how u guys 'inject' those codes into the levels.....by the way this for the Xbox and not the PC right?
