I just registred HCE on SourceForge and we got approved hooray beerchug.gif

anyways coding has started again, from scratch, so give us some time smile.gif

suggestions are still welcome

and we are also looking for someone interessed in making site for HCE on the sf server,
if you have something just pm me smile.gif

new version will have everything from the latest one (duh) but more stable, unlimited pages/items, confirmation boxes (patch succesfull/failed, file saved/failed)
we're also looking into keyboard support or something else to add/edit items wink.gif
and we would also want network stuff, to upload patches from you pc or just download them from the internet

I just remebered a feature that I thought might be handy. It similar to what you said about adding and editing items. I think it would be nice if it were possible to browse ALL offsets and add them to the pages.... all on the xbox. This would be much easier if you added keyboard support as you mentioned. It might lower the user- freindliness of the app but it would be much more versatile. What do you think?

about the ppf maybe something in my source but it's just taken from the appyppf.c source taken from the official site, maybe I commented too much out dry.gif

you mean like read a full ouput file and you just have a favorite list?
lemme explain better
the pages you see now are your 'most used' and then you can add items from a complete output file

but it would be stupid to show them all at once, so many pages and items you would never found something you wanna change tongue.gif

yea I get the point, some easy way to add all the currently known stuff for each level

that's why I also want to be able to download ppf aptches, so more rebooting, uploading ppf and restarting

once I get to work more with all the new stuff some amazing stuff can happen biggrin.gif
just learning all this cool c++ stuff (remember that this is my first app in c++ learned it for making an xbox cache editing app  wink.gif  )

and what an app it was. i looked into c++ and ran a mile after doing vb @ college it all seems strange and new as a mate who was trying to teach me the basics said to forget everything you know anbout vb when coding in c++.

but when hce source comes out i might learn c++ as it would be quite a laught to make addons and slite tweaks smile.gif

for the ppf files something similar to what Helpful halo hacking tool (HHHT) uses

if ppf files are named as so
CODE
b40_assualt_on_the_controlroom-all_weapons_zoom.ppf

then they only show up when that map is selected, which would make the how thing alot more easier to navigate and apply patches.

I was gonna use different folders like PPFa30 because the xbox can't handle files with big names very well  dry.gif

biggrin.gif

k so gonna get the basic stuff working first wink.gif
then get some testers
then add the options types
back testing

add the patches back
testing again smile.gif
and then we should have a stable version  biggrin.gif
sources will be released from the first tests so any coder/tester can see why/where it happens etc

beta version will have debug stuff in them (write stuff from time to time to D:\debuginfo.txt)
so if you start testing make sure you delete the file from time to time smile.gif
AFTER you post the results offcourse laugh.gif

hope to have some updates within a week wink.gif
