i got mine today it has a philly and i dont know what hdd (dont matter to me) but i changed the laguage to some other one than english. how do i change it back. haha. thanks

Well worth the hassels of taking the MOD from my old XBOX and transfering it.
DOes not work with old X2 lite v 2.1's but works with 2.2 and above.

Now I need a X2lite TSOP flashing guide...

I bought mine at Gamestop and yes it did have a Samsung DVD rom.

The loud sound/noise coming from my Halo Sp Xbox is maily the HD sound but the Phillips DVD is also not helping the situation.

Does anyone's have a Halo medallion on it??

Mine has the std xbox medallion on it and Halo on the controller

The circuit city add (web page) makes it look like it does and says
"Both the console and the controller are Halo green and boast the Halo insignia."

Not that this matters as long as it is a samsung and quite sounding!

punk, mine is the same fan as yours, it seems a little less loud now that i have used it a few times,but i may just be getting used to it.....anyhow it isnt a real big deal..kinda adds character not that the green doesnt already....

I do have a quick question, i am thinking of taking my hdd out of my other xbox and putting in this one,,1..i use configmagic to lock and unlock  2..if i unlock in my old box and put it in my new box then lock it with configmagic, will this work.....i am sure it will but i want to be positive...i didnt know if the version xbox's made a difference....oh yeah my old box contains a maxtore 120g

or i should just get the biggest hard drive that i can find and put in it,

also there is no doubt in my mind that there is a different fan or a fan mod on these from the factory, it is as loud as my fan on my modded box(well it saounds identical...so i am guessing that it is wired 12v.....I am still holding of on taking it apart to know for sure..I am waiting for someone else to do a mod....but if i could get a free solderless chip (lol) i will try to mod it and tell everyone if it works....But until its done somewhere else i will wait to buy a chip and wait to take mine apart....

the fan is not 12v mine is incredible quiet. if you think its 12v its not just take the black wire cut it and ground it to the rf sheilding its louder hence the fan is running at 7v.

mines pretty loud too, im in the us, i have a phillips, and it ROCKS, it reads dvd-r cd-r and cd-rw's, my old 1.0 with a thompson read almost nothing, so i wasted about $15 on dvd-r's to mod it, luckily i still have my bios flash dvd's, no more burning....

PS: DON'T BUY A SODERLESS MODCHIP
or at least don't overtighten it.

So out of everyone that's purchased a Halo LE box, the percentage of you that lucked out and got a samsung is not much.  Do you think the chances of getting a samsung with a regular xbox (not halo edition) would be any better?
