daym it... i forgot to drop by yesterday to pre-order it at gamestop for my nephew. time to hunt it down at circuit city or something...

yes it is retail,,,but says on it not for resale and it has another menu with halo2 making of really long and 2 other long in game videos....

pretty neat................

also there is no doubt in my mind that there is a different fan or a fan mod on these from the factory, it is as loud as my fan on my modded box(well it saounds identical...so i am guessing that it is wired 12v.....I am still holding of on taking it apart to know for sure..I am waiting for someone else to do a mod....but if i could get a free solderless chip (lol) i will try to mod it and tell everyone if it works....But until its done somewhere else i will wait to buy a chip and wait to take mine apart....

And i am probably wrong .but i really think the number is more like 20,000 after talking to all stores..also eb etc etc are no longer taking orders....

but i really think there is a 12v fan in there..

i cant wait to get mine. it work come till prolly next week or the week after that. cuz i am cheap. hopefully they have a focus chip in them but i am sure they do. probbably not a excalliber (hopefully)

Anyways, yeah the halo disk demos got replaced by the halo2 annouce, e3, and making of halo video. Was fun to watch it again in full screen on the tv!

And on the modding note, I just loaded up 007 AUF w/evox and loaded up fine. Backed up the eeprom and everything. Now time to open it later to see if I can tsop flash this sucker!  beerchug.gif

the metal around the fan has holes all around it(entirely around the fan all the way to the outer end of the fan...also the fan looks totally different then all xbox's i have seen..It is also loud i am sure it is running from 12v source....also the last numbers on my serial are  -40606   manufactured 2004-02-05

could this be made in USA production line in 1 ...I am assuming this is true for all these if so....umm hell i dont know....

Any how i may go ahead and open it up in the next day or so,,,but i have to wait till i get to work to upload pics once i do i will post them on my webshots page unless xboxscene wants them all.......if so someone please let me know.....

I really want to know where this was made.....also are you people 100% sure the production number isn't 20,000.........

god you people ask dumb questions.
does a bear shit in the woods?  if you answered that question to be 'yes' then the halo xbox is moddable!!  wow that was hard.  it's been confirmed 1000 times that they're all 1.4's.  the fan is stock 7v. you must be high or something...  it's the quietest xbox i believe i've ever heard.   don't bother with the pictures, they all look the same.   mine is 2-6-04 samsung drive.  happy?  kernal 5101.  so without even opening mine up and prodding the lpc i can guarantee anybody that wants to know that it's a 1.4.  there's other sub-forums on this board.  you all should check 'em out.

gee, devil man you are so smart i wish i had your learnings, so if it is 06 that must mean that it was made in a trailer park in production line 1....so i guess that translates to A-your an ass  and B-you should move out from mommas trailer and live a little,,,

I think the reason in the differences is that they are different SE's

Eg. Some say Samsung some say Philips
Reason? Philips = Australian SE Xbox - Samsung = US SE Xbox

Louder? Australian - Quieter? US

Who every said Philips and who ever said Samsung where are you from?
