Halo:

[4d530004]
ID=4d530004
Title=Halo
AuthKey=5770E155A1C75FA9830B141896544428579AF1E6
DataFile=blam.sav
SigOffset=48
DataOffset=0
DataLen=48

I haven't attempted any hacking of the save files for Halo, I was just curious why an entry for the game in the resign.in file hasn't ever been made. There could possibly be more checks in the blam.sav file as well as the other file that is in the folder, the savegame.bin file, which is a rather huge file, several megabytes long.

Skimming through the savegame.bin file, I didn't see anything that sprung out at me that would indicate any type of signature, but I could be wrong. Anybody that has some time on their hands can try hacking the saves, using this info. Since it is one of the oldest Xbox titles, this may well have been the only check on the save. I wouldn't try changing the profile name of the save by hacking though, because the folder it's saved in is based on the profile name, and that could cause a corrupt save.

This allows you to hex edit the saves to be what ever you want and still be able to use it as an original save.
