Halo Texture Edit Question.
« on: October 10, 2003, 03:51:00 PM »

I extracted the warthog.dds file, edited it with photoshop, then inserted back into the map.  When I loaded the map the warthog still looked like it's normal old self, until I got about 15-20 feet from it.  As I moved around the warthog the texture would change, like those car paint jobs that change in the sun.

Is there any way to make it so the warthog keeps the edited look all of the time?

Halo Texture Edit Question.

Im having a similar problem,. except the texture i created seems to go over the original texture.. The one i made was black, and now its dark purple instead of purple. Any ideas why? Im gonna go fool around with the mip maps i guess.

===
I've fooled around with the mip maps to no succsess, I have the correct mip maps in the map file. But still the ghost only shades to the texture i've made. It still has a purple tint. When I inject the ghost.dds, the ghost will stay normal, but when I inject the ghost.dds and ghost multi.dds(pretty much same file, just a size change) it tints.. Im going to try to inject just the multi file, and hope for the best.. Any tips i would appreciate.

Why 3 pics?  What the hell are double dubs?  And how did you add extra width?

i didnt add extra width if u were talkin to me. but i am havin the same prob with the overlapping textures. when i open it do i hit show mip maps? and when i save it i hot generate new mip maps or use current mip maps? because it didnt work for me when i hit just generate mip maps, the problem is still there sad.gif

Choose NO when asked for showing mipmaps then when saving choose save mipmaps  wink.gif
