It won't take a long time.  I have been working on it already.  Haven't seen any success yet, but my theories for inserting AI for enemies and just giving it to the MC biped make some sense.

Right, the thing about getting a bot on the scoreboard would take some xbe hacking I imagine.  Which would be much tougher, but as far as getting AI in, that wouldn't be so bad.

What would be awsome is if you shot out a bot you controll it. this way there'd be a team of you going after teams of other people. and you wouldn't want to many because you become to laggy and be an easy target.

hehe, when I used to hack Jedi Jknight I made this hack where when you hit someone with it they became your minion.  They flew around, they were invincible, and attacked all of your enemies with crazy firepower and could do nothing to prevent it.  It was hilarious.  That would be fun to do in Halo with bots.  Just spit out little grunts that go and kill everyone for you.  =)

I think a more feasable idea would be to write software for the PC that, when ran, joins a system link game and drops a few bots that way. In a way, it's like the PC is the player.... I'm not sure if this makes sense; if it doesn't, look at EraserBot for Quake2. If I'm correct, that's how that particular modder pulled it off, and presents a better example than I can describe.

I think that would be great but I think it would take alot of work. I'm no coder or anything but wouldn't you have to decompile the game to see how system link worked. Or would you just have to study the packets between 2 xboxs playing halo and then make a program that can replicate them aproprietly?
