Good Halo Hacks

This is for Blood Gulch

Ok heres the three vehicle's values we are using.

Warthog - 023402B8 ---- 54 FD 89 80 <-- will not work with rock!
Tank       - 02341318 ---- AC 2A 8D 80
Ghost     - 02341F18 ---- 20 09 8F 80

If you want the Warthog to hover like the Ghost then change (warthog - 54 FD 89 80) to (Ghost - 20 09 8F 80).
It will look like this:
Warthog - 023402B8 ---- 20 09 8F 80
You can mix it up anyway you want. Like change the tanks vaule to the warthog, and now that sucker will move. ohmy.gif

Also heres some more interesting values to try.
Picture this, your playing system link Halo. You're friend has been searching high and low for you, but can not find you. All of sudden he hears gun fire and takes cover behind the rock. He has no idea your driving that rock. So you run him over and laugh. laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  mad.gif

Use this value to turn any of the three vehicle above into a rock.
Boulder_doublewide ---- 84 AC 6F 80

Turn any vehicle invisible.
Mp clear afternoon ------ 20 46 6F 80

You ever felt like picking up a Warthog, or Tank and hitting your enemy over the head with it? Well now you can. You can do it to any of the weapon, but we are going to do it with the rocket lancher.  biggrin.gif
Rocket Lancher - 02343FD8 --- 40 46 96 80
Change those values to any of the three vehicle above. Now the rocket lancher in the middle of the map is a vehicle which can be carried over your head.

This one's neat. It changes the skin color of MC. One will be RED/WHITE, and the other BLUE/WHITE. Reminds me of Tron. This actually looks cool, trust me.  love.gif
Cyborg reflection armor --- 0233BD38 ---- EC 68 70 80
Cyborg                           --- 0233C958 ---- 24 B5 72 80
Change both values to,Cubemap mirror surface  --- 70 BC 72 80

Thanks man, I've done lots more. Its hard to keep track of it all. Thats the one I can remember that where cool. I have more, but just unorganized at the moment.

see, i want to do this, but my upload speed to the xbox is only like 50Kbps...and my dl speed is a wopping 500Kbps wink.gif  it sux!
any ideas as to whats wrong and/or a fix?

I did one simular to this. Except i didnt use vehicle values, i used scenery values.

Rocket launcher (2343fd8) 40 46 96 80 -> Tree_desert_dead (233bf78) B4 AC 70 80

All these values are under the "Model" category on the list of hex values.

Just a suggestion. Dont say "change this number into this number" and so on. Tell us what values you are using. So then we might be able to use it for something else. To turn a vehicle invisible you said "20 46 6F 80", i have no idea what the name of this is. Obviously its invisiablity but its just an example. And maybe list where you found them at. Like I did here:

You have a mistake: Ghost - 02341F18 ---- 23 09 8F 80
should be: 20 09 8F 80

Also: The rock model thing does not work with the warthog, the game will freeze. I only found out it works with the ghost.

try a different enet cable, i had the same problem earlier, a badly constructed enet cable will cause packet loss and slow transfer speeds.

I had that same problem at one time. I ended up having to buy a new NIC. Once I put the new NIC in, everything went fast. I'm thinking there are issues with the Xbox ftp program that aren't known. The NIC I got was $10 (Aopen 10/1000MBPS)

Thanks for pointing out the ghost mistake. Its fixed now. About the Warthog, I'm sorry. I just assumed it would work with all three. I used it on the ghost with no problem.

I'm at work so I can't look at a cache file.  What values are you changing?  Just the model offset to metadata?

When you have the level you want to edit open in a hex editor, i use HHD Hex Editor, do a search for the # in (). It will take you to it and youll see a series of numbers that corespond to the second set of #s.


    1. Search for 2343fd8
    2. Find 40 46 96 80
    3. Replace it with B4 AC 70 80
    4. And so on
