How On Earth Do You Do This Halo Hacking Stuff!?!?

Yer so ive got the Cache000.map thingy, ext hex edit ok. So i search for offset C78D8F8  (grunt), not found. Ok i go to offset C78D8F8 and yer thats alright. now what it just highlights two numbers...70. How do you do this. What Hex Editor Should i be using? Im using Hackman. help

Be specific are you editing SC or BG? Im guessing SC cause your using cache00, but im not sure!

Yup SC, im now using HHD hex editor and followed a guide that was pinned on the dev page but ive simply no idea. Is there a guide somewhere wih illustrations?

everyone is searching the offsets, just search the hex value, much eaiser, i used hackman fine!

Right in HHD, i open Cache000.map . Find, C4 1E B1 80. Box comes up sayin searching. so i left it for ten mins. String Not found. How the *uck do you use this shit. can someone make a guide with pics or somthing cos it never *uckin works. Does it matter if PAL? presumably it'd be the same?
