Custom Cars Will Not Work
« on: September 21, 2006, 01:26:00 PM »

I have no idea what is wrong with this thing.. I have saved the UNMODDED GTA-SA to the HDD and have followed the turorial - however for some reason it loads to like 99% then stops... and i cannot play with the modded cars... im installing the 05 Crown Victoria Police cars for LA - SF - VG and possibly the Sheriffs Dept...

I went ahead and installed the new .DFF and the new .TXD - Rebuilt the archive - entered the handling info vehicle info etc... and burned it to a disc... it didnt work - so i ripped the unmodded disk to the HDD and tried to replace the new GTA3.IMG file with the same thing and it will NEVER transfer over even if i tell it to overwrite the file... What in the world can i do?

perhaps an easier way to do things?

is there a simpler tutorial out there that im missing - or did i miss a step..

Running a modded XBOX  with UNLEASH-X if that helps...

make sure your using a good ftp client like flash fxp or flashftp

also, if your unsure about the order of things, check my tutorial here:
http://www.invisionplus.net/forums/index.p...p;showtopic=201

also, when starting over, make sure you really start over.  don't just over write the gta3.img file.
who's to say thats what's causing it to freeze?

and btw clearing your cache should be the last thing you do, before testing the game itself.
