Getting To Lc From Sa
« on: July 25, 2006, 04:32:00 AM »

Hey guys.

I have read about the "HellWay" method of visiting Liberty City from San Adreas anytime you like. It mentioned needing a cheat device to unable a "no height limit on jet pack" cheat. Since i dont own a cheat device of any kind, i was wondering if someone had made a trainer to do the same thing? so that i could still use this method to re visit Liberty City?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and one more thing... is it hard to get modded cars from the PC version of San Andreas into the xbox version? or is there things that need to be changed for it all to work correctly? Again, any help appreciated.

Thanks guys...

not that I know of (although I haven't looked into to it too deep yet.  I do know that the liberty city area is in a whole another map section specificly designed for missions and cinemas.

essentially, all you need to do is compress the TXD (if not already done) and change it to VC xbox.
the problem being, most pc mods have large DFF files.  the bigger the file, the slower it'll run on xbox.  It may even crash on certain parts.   Try to shoot for no bigger than 750KB to 1MB DFF files and you'll be fine.
Or assign them to cars that don't drive in traffic.

Cool. Thanks for your help.

Is it a difficult process to compress the files if they are too large to avoid lags or crashes? Or is not something that can be done?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

well its not that simple.  First you gotta import the dff model into 3ds max.  then you have to manually reduce the complexity of the model.  (I'm still trying to take classes on 3ds max myself)

you can however, export the images in the TXD's and compress those (or so I've heard)
