Can I put a mod on a CD-r and install it directly to GTA from the xbox cd reader? If so what file to I install it to?

No. No. and sorta.
I'm going to guess you don't have a modded xbox. If you don't then you can't, period.

If you do, FTP would be much faster and easier, but if you need to, i guess if you have an xbox that DOESN'T have a Thompson DVD Drive, you could try and burn the modded files to a CD-RW (RW's work, not R's) then with a file manager like in XBMC or Avalaunch, you could replace the files. But it would be stupid, most mods are less than 1Mb, so putting 1Mb on a 700Mb disc is a waste of time.

But I really doubt you even have a modded box with a question like that.

Actually I do have a modded xbox, I just got it. I would like to install from cd b/c I dont have a TV near my PC to see xbox screen. What directory do I install to in GTA?

you dont need to see the TV screen to install a mod. just FTP into the sucker and upload the file (all from PC).

in terms of which directory it depends on the type of mod. if you have an etm file (a trainer) then you place it in a folder called "trainers" in your C partition (make it if need be). otherwise you'll likely have a modded xbe file, in which case you replace your existing xbe file in the GTA directory.

The GTA directory.

As in, the directory where GTA is on your Xbox HDD. Dont have it ripped there? Then do so.

Im guessing you used Krayzies softmod just a guess. But RIP the game to E:\Games\ Its where all Evox looks by defult.
