San Andreas Speed Hack
« on: August 17, 2005, 01:00:00 AM »

I was wondering if there was a trainer or some hack that would allow me to speed hack in cars at some times. For example if i could program it so that when i press the horn insted of horn it speed hacks my car to 900 mph or some really fast speed.

Don`t be a mentalist. Isn`t modding your car at the garage with nitro enough? I can barely even last 5 seconds with that stuff without crashing into something.

I posted the car mod for VC and III ages ago, SA is different and requires you to mod the main.scm which means that all your saves will not work with it.

why dont you just tweak the handling.cfg file? increase speed and accel to 300. keep it simple.

you can use an editor program like the above reply says, or you can edit it with wordpad .

look at the comment section at the header of the file, and you'll find "character identifiers" (which correspond to the columns in the grid of data below)

for example, character "a" is the first column in the data grid and may correspond to mass. "g" is a few columns to the right and corresponds to a different attribute.

i'd recommend not messing with car mass unless you know exactly what you're doing (ie: spring tension, suspension, etc). in fact, make a backup of this file in case you mess it up.
