I got it to work without changing any TSR or IGR settings by simply changing my region code to NTSC. It was on "default" eariler I think.

im gonna bet u didnt SAVE AND EXIT...everyone says it doesnt work and then they realize they didnt press SAVE AND EXIT, Don't press the back button, that does NOT work. Make your changes, and go to SAVE AND EXIT, and if those changes dont work then you obviously should try a new combination. Just try combinations until it works. There's not that many combinations, so if u tried them all it wouldnt take more than 10 minutes.

Here's how to get SA to run from the hdd: (This Applies to EvoX users only)

1. From the EvoX dash, select System Utils.

2. Select settings.

3. Scroll Down until you get to the 'Misc' Header.

4. Find the 'TSR' option.

5. Press "A" until it reads "Disabled"

6. Scroll down to "Save and Exit" and press "A"

7. Restart your Xbox.

8. Play GTA: San Andreas!

I'd just like to thank you so much for this advice.

Worked a treat.  :D

The disabling the TSR worked fine.  However the trainer won't work with the TSR disabled

Disabling TSR also disables my in-game reset. Is this normal? Is there a work around for this?

UPDATE: I got it to work without changing any TSR or IGR settings by simply changing my region code to NTSC. It was on "default" eariler I think.

Thanks this worked for me too.  I tried to disabled TSR but it still would not load (exits back to the evox dash).  Since I want to use the trainer, I'm not about to turn TSR off.  Thanks, mate!

ok, i had this trouble at first. i did the the TSR option and it worked, but i couldnt use trainers. so i tried changing region to NTSC and that worked with the trainer...but here is the strange thing...i have it hooked up to my 24" flat screen non-HD, non-composite tv and the game plays. but i hook it up to my parents 52" projection HD tv and the game will not play, it just keeps booting back into evox. i tried changing all kinds of options then, but it wouldnt work. i can leave the settings like they are and it will work with one tv, but not with the HD tv  :uhh:

Guys, I have a completely different problem. I have ftp'd all the files to the comp and made an iso of GTA:SA and then burned it using Nero. It burned fine, and when I play the backup onto the XBOX, the evox screen just comes up with a msg saying UNKNOWN for the disc type. HELP ME PLEASE, it also did the same thing with Wrestlemania 21. Not sure why its doing this all of a sudden, usually works fine.

Also I have copied GTA:SA onto my HDD, and it seems to work just fine, and im playing without any hassle. But i want a hard copy of it. Can anyone help please?

You obviously did something wrong. Use Craxtion 4.0 and try it again. Make sure there's a DEFAULT.XBE in the root or it'll show unknown. I once made an XISO of one file, default.xbe of Doom 3, because my NIC stopped working and I couldn't FTP in to upload it. In Evox it still showed 'Game' as the disc type.

Also, you should have a hard copy of the game already, you know the one you bought at the store? :P

uh yeah, i got my game to work by changing the TSR to disabled, but i cannot get the trainers to work (may not be the right section), also what is TSR because for some game if its on normal setting it lags the game, (kinds like a movie thats not buffered right) basically just runs really slow....and then my trainers for other games dont work....is thee any fix for this or do i just have to change it depending on the game i want to play?
