I tried 2 different skins on my xbox for my player and they changed the way he looked but he has no color...he's just a vanialla white color...how come?

also...im a little confused on the part about dff files...not all skins come with them...

I did all that but it just makes him white....

EDIT: Somebody give me a short explanatation of how you would make a new player.txd in txdworkshop.... like is the guy supposed to be 8, 16, 32 bit..etc...?

EDIT: And how do u make a dff file if it doesnt come with one

Ahh nothing happened.

I have never used a character skin before.

Do I need to activate an change of clothing icon or something?
I'm assuming I do but if so where is the Icon located the readme says nothing as to where it is
I'm lost.

u put the new player.dff and player.txd in the gta3.img file and then rebuild achieve and then u upload the gta3.img and gta3.dir to your xbox....but my character is white for some reason

Sorry I should have been clearer about what I meant.

I know everything you said above.
What I was asking is I have the game running right now with the mod active and my guy has the same clothing on what I meant was do I have to start a new game or is there an change clothing icon in the somewhere in the game that you need to activate?

you have to be wearing the street cloths i think and i also think u have to delete the GTA_VC.CAP.Final file

EDIT: and delete X, Y, and Z if theres cache in them

So does anyone know why my guy is just a vanilla white color? He has the shape of the person but not their colors...im guessing this means did something wrong with the player.txd file....and i also wanted to know what u do if the skin doesnt come with a player.dff file

You don't need to post so much, there is a thing called "EDITING" within the first 15 minutes of your post. It doesn't make you look any smarter even if you have hundreds of posts beside your name.

Man ive read some of your posts and ive recongized that you're a complete ass hole...i dont make all my posts within 15 minutes of each other so once that time limit is up you cant edit it..if you dont like something the best policy is to shut your god damn mouth....so do any of the other members of the forum have anything constructive to add to this that would help fix the problem?
