So you see a pattern; all those on the scene for longer periods of time who might have some information that you would find helpful are so turned off by your posts that they don't bother trying to help.  Normally I would ignore your post altogether, but it is a bad day at work, so I prefer to try to get through to you than to focus on my real obligations.

QUOTE
I suggest you think about that, get a new screen name and try being nice to people.

Sorry but I'm not going to hide my trueself (Even if it means being an asshole or being nice) What your suggesting to do is hide and back down.....Sorry but I'm not going to give in to people that trash someone and then tell them to hide and be nice. Being nice won;t change people here or their actions towards me or others how you see people now is how they really are. Because i was nice (I stated the number 90 you should see what the goes with by reading the beginning of the topic) They have been and will continue to act the way they do no matter what tone you take with people...I have already gone through:
1. The nice route
2. The patient Route
3. the nice and patient route
All 3 of those way too many times and I was still given the same typ[es of responses as you see them giving me in this topic..

So nice or rude the responses are the same. That's just how they are and as for me I'm nice until I get treated the way i have been. ANd what your saying is this:
When your on XBS you have to let people walk all over you and you have no right at all to get mad or defend yourself......That's exactly what your saying.

The issue here is that I put my foot down after being treated rudely and when I did it back it seems like those people couldn't handle it. and I was told I should be nice (In actuality I was told thjat you can't say anything...Well don't waste your breath with that crap on me. You need to talk to the people who are asking for this to begin with. And If I really need to I'll flood your PM box with all the stuff that I'm ttalking about and if I do that you can see that I developed this attitude after being treated like this.... So stop focusing on me acting like this and start taking a good look at WHY I'M ACTING LIKE THIS...and even after I said I'll leave this alone people kept on and you can see that throughout this entire topic.
So if you want to continue blaming me for causing the problem then fine...You jsut keep ignoring the real problem.....After all that is what people are really good at around here anyway.

So I'll stop when they do..however they have to stop first....The more people keep replying and trying to blame me, the more and more arrogant I'm going to be come (AGAIN THEY WOULD BE DOING IT FIRST) You can see that I just said that right here so if people want to respond then that will clearly show who is really starting the problems here and if you can't see that then your just as stupid as the rest of these idiots and starting trouble just as much as they do.

Remember I'll stop if they do but they have to stop first.

This hopefully will be the end of it. But as long as non-helpful responses keep coming then I'll keep this going as well..it's you peoples call now...Do as you will

But I don't want to hear about it from anyone that I'm pissing them off or that this is why peopel are refusiong to help me...Because I said it everyone can see it and everyone will see who likes to start and who doesn't....The way I look at it is this:
If you people can do it and not have anything said to you, then so can I you people are no different.
So once again I'll leave this alobne from my end if they leave this alone from their end,but they ahve to stop first and if they don't I'll keep reffering back to this reply.

No sir.  I am not trashing you, I am not missing the point of your post, and I do not want to read all of the unjust posts that led to this thread.

I am simply explaining that people here are doing their best to help others, including you, and statements like "you people need to learn to write tutorials" are not going to help matters.  I'm pleading for you to be a bigger person and rethink your approach.

This is a message board, not an office.  No one is walking all over you by posting off topic, misunderstanding what you are asking, or even assuming you deserve a flame.  You should ignore those posts that offend you, redirect those posts that miss the point (in a polite and succinct manner) and maintain your posts in a fitting manner.  And yes, if you want answers to your questions, I suggest you back down whether anyone else does or not.  You are asking favors of people, so if they want to be pricks about it, that is ashame and I'd hope they would be more coureous as well; but I'm suggesting that your only option is to ignore them and go elsewhere, or politely redirect their questions because you won't get answers from people you offend.

As for hiding, I'd prefer you not hide (I have the same screen name I've always had on this board and all other forums in which I participate); I'd prefer you continue with the same name you are using; I was just suggesting this as a way to allow you to save face and get your question answered.  As you can see, I really am trying to help -- procedurally, if not substantively.

You're absolutly right on the money with this reply and I agree 100% with you on this

However this on the other hand needs to go

But by posting this:
QUOTE
I'm pleading for you to be a bigger person and rethink your approach.

You are missing the point to my post.

I'll say it again......No matter what way i do this or what route I take with these people nice or not the responses are going to remain the same as they always have been. I have been going through this stuff since I joined the board. I have had people tell me I should be nicer...So I took thier advice at least 150 times but it doesn't get anywhere.....In fact I have gotten more info that I needed from here in the past couple of days then I have by being nice the entire time I have been a member of this board..and that's really sad how being a complete prcik nets you more info than being nice....So I react according to how people want me to...I'm nice and they are rude in return...Well then I guess they want me to be rude...But when I am they say to stop being rude....So I say why be nice to these people if no matter what you ask or how you ask it your going to be put through this......So I said screw it if people are being rude to me for no reason then I'm going to at least give them somehting to be rude to me for....So I gave people exactly what they wanted and they didn't like that either...So you can't win....So I jus act the way I want now...What's the difference you get treated the same way. So screw it thery aren't going to listen to me so I really don't care who gets pissed at me.

So as to your try a different approach attitude..Sorry been there done that...doesn't work all i have wound up in is the same exact situation...I have even gone so far as to create a completely different screen name and logged in from another computer just too see if it was how I was asking things...(Having no clue it was me...I got the same ration of crap as I did now..So approach has nothing to do with this...It's just the people here are idiots that like to start and then deflect the situation aff them as if you did something wrong. So I gave up on approach along time ago aproach is 100% crap here)

I would mod if the instructions were straight.
In the past 2 days 2 more tools have been added to the instruction manulals for modding. So what was missing is now there...but who knows what else is missing.
Peopel said the manual was complete. If that was the case then why were 2 of the modding tools added to something that was supposedly and argued that was complete...
I'll mod once there is on solid tutorial not 5 different half assed ones with stuff missing from them only to get added 2 days later.

Come on people we need on completed 100% working manual
So can one be made please. Can't mod without all the instructions being there.

That's what this whole topic I created was for. Modding is supposed to be fun not get rip shit at people because something was done half assed.
It's simple someone needs to create 1 (100%) complete working manual for modding. I would make one but I'm not sure if all the info I need is there to do this.
i just can't figure out whay someone doesn't write the manual for this stuff rigt as they are doing a mod so the guide gets written with hands on rather than from memory. that way nothing can be missed.

one thing keeps bothering me.  Almost every post has the term "you people".  Now I just checked and theres just about 218,310 members on XS.  That term you keep mentioning is targeted at all these people (intentional or not)
Now do you really think all these people have mistreated you?
I would reword your posts if I were you.
(and for the love of god write a book or something)

Here is a comment you people would say to me.
Are you that stupid as to where you can't figure out where to apply a simple phrase to who it applies to

Oh yeah and just to let you people know:
The how to guide on inserting new cars into vice city tutorial is incomplete:
So I took the liberty of showing you people what is missing and what part it's missing from:

In this part of the tutorial:
Collision File Editor and D3DX81ab.ddl (put the D3DX81ab.ddl in the directory of the col file editor)
http://people.freene.../colleditor.zip
http://people.freene...-m/d3dx81ab.zip

Yeah and this means to do what because this is missing explination as to what he actually means by this because right now I have no idea whatb this is, what it means or where I'm supposed to place that D3DX81ab
I have tried the following
Placing everything in the same folder
Dragging the D3DX81ab into the exe.
Opening the colleditor with notepad but there is no where the D3DX81ab can go (You can't pace a file inside a text document and then have it work)
So as you can see I try things before saying somehting about it.

The above situaltion, is why I say that people don't know how to wrote proper instruction manuls/guides. and the guide they do have certain parts are written very shitty. I'll bet you he didn't even take into account that someone would not know what he was talking about. So now what I have to do is keep making topics about this until someone answers my question and it's all due to the fact because something that should have been written to begin with, wasn't.

just wanted to add this:

If this is as simple as you people say it is then why haven't I been able to follow the tutorial at this point?

This is only simple to the people who have a knowledge on this stuff so yeah you can say it's easy but you people have this illusion in your head that since you understand it then so should everyone else. (And this is where the trouble begins)

Because he said place that in the directory...However there is no directory to place that in there is only a
.exe file
exporter.ms
and a readme that tells you nothing about this as well.
So I'm clueless about this and this isn't self explanitory to me maybe to you people but I'm totally lost. There needs to be an instruction for this instruction.

That's why I posted a manual on how to write a manual, hopin maybe you people could learn how to write manuals properly but it's as I said before. you people would rather waste time then do it right the first time because here I am again asking a question that should have already been explained...I do go over this exact thing in my how to write a manual tutorial.

5.) Bump Your Message Every Ten Minutes

If you write a question and it doesn't get an immediate response try bumping it out of frustration after a ridiculously short period of time. Rather than searching of rewording your post try just bumping it every ten minutes and your post will most certainly go unanswered. To make matters even worse simply post the word "bump" each time with a . That'll be sure to ruffle some feathers.
