Gta3 Off Hd - Jerking

Hi guys,

Tried resetting the clock to the current date/time, cleared the caches, etc. Unfortunately, this game insists on jerking at the very 1st load screen (i.e. the big Rockstar Games logo screen) as well as the intro screen with the rolling credits for GTA3.

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I've got it happening on a v1.0, v1.4 and v1.6b with X2_4983 BIOS in the first 2 units and of course EvoX M8+ in the v1.6b unit. The HD's being used are Seagate Barracuda's - 120GB with 8M buffer.

Also, "Call of Duty: Finest Hour" seems to be freezing in the middle of a game too.

All ideas appreciated.

Some people have had this problme with other games.

1) what are you using to rip the game to your HD. DVD2XBOX works best.
2) Try to roll bcak your dashboard, sounds silly I know but it has worked for some people.
3) If you are using dvd2xbox use the default.xbe_orig after enaming it ofcourse.
4)Failing that it my be time for you to format your F:/ or G:/ drive.
