Vcm Extractor?
« on: September 30, 2004, 05:58:00 PM »

ok, for the cars that are in .vcm format, i know we need the files that are in the .vcm...i also know that they make an extractor, and i have one of them, but it does not work. It is called "vcm unpacker01b" or something like that. It is a command prompt. I got it to work twice by right clicking the .vcm file and telling it to open with the unpacker, but now it stopped working, and i still cant do it the way the readme says becuase when i open the command prompt, the prompt just closes.

So i was wondering if there was a more user friendly vcm extractor?

Not that I have found ive been using the same one you have. You dont double click it though, put vcmu.exe and the .vcm in a directory on the root of c: call it something easy to type. then go to start and run and type cmd, type cd\ which goes to the root of c: then type cd 'name of directory you made with both files' w/ out quotes of course. Then type vcmu.exe 'name of vcm.vcm' without quotes once again and the files get extracted to that dir you made on c:
