Anyone Tested The "liberty City Mod" For Vc?
« on: July 24, 2004, 05:34:00 AM »

For anyone who doesn't know Liberty City for VC.... http://files.filefront.com/2977277;/pub2/G...Liberty%20City/

Just wondered if anyone has tried copying the Liberty files to mod the XBox version? This mod is one of the best.

the thing is, you have to rip the textures from XBOXgta3 for the xboxvice, because the gta3 on xbox has higher quality textures than the pC version. there are some modifications to the exe on the pc, and this is where the xbox will have a problem. we might have to change the xbe, or we might have to change the mods they created, but preperation is beginning.

it is definately on the TO DO list, and were hoping to dedicate a whole forum to it over at ninjahacker.net

i tried several trail an error tests for lib city and after all i had tried i came to one conclusion: limitation in the xbe.   lib city seems to require about twice the mem as far as i can tell. Its a little beyond my ability right now.
Here's my question: Can somebody rework the xbe to, in essence, do what was done with halo NMP? Fool the games into running as one engine perhaps? I have been working on vice city xbox for a while and i'd love to be a part of this if its doable
