hallo everyone ...

i what to find the point in an xbe-file where some is read out of an other file ...
the name of the file can be read out as an string ... so i have the offset of the filename and the variable-name ida should use ...

if i now run the "search for immediate value" it finds nothing ... (using the variable-name ... so it was told me)

and if i activate "any untyped value" it find over 80.000 (what a help )

... so i know that this is maybe a general ida-question ... but the people of the ida-forum think that they can not help me because it is a xbox-file  

however ... could you please help me ... to find out where the program reads this file

it dont has to be ida ... w32dasm or any other program would be ok too
