Extracting Xwb Music
« on: February 23, 2007, 12:03:00 AM »

Firstly, having played this game I can't help but say how amazing the music is...we're talking full orchestration, a definite improvement over the N64 version.

This having been said, I have successfully been able to extract the majority of music needed. My tool of choice is Audacity, but there are also other standalone tools, see THIS topic.
Audacity gives the ability to import the XWB file as "raw". So I select the clip of music I want, and convert to MP3...beautiful!

This works on all songs EXCEPT Chucky's Lament (the poo-boss song)
Filename: "m_sloprano_lp.xwb"
When importing the raw audio, the tempo is slow and the pitch is very low! Considering that this is the most popular song in Conker's...and M$ produced this particular game, perhaps they wanted to make it hard to extract?
From what I can deduct, the game will convert the song to the correct tempo/pitch while in the game so it sounds normal.

Has anyone attempted to extract this song from Conker: Live and Reloaded?
