Nhl 07 Roster Updates?

Hi All!  This is my first post and I'm very happy with the information that can be found on this site and its forums.  

My question is....

Is there any way to get roster updates for EA Sports games, specifically NHL 07 without going on XB Live??

i.e. Copying files into game data stored on xbox hd??  

BTW...i'm running Unleash X.
