Anyone who has played this game will surely know how irritating the intro movie is!
It gets to the press start screen, you press start, and this 2-3 minute video plays which is impossible to skip ( unless I have missed something). I have found however, that if the Far Cry files are still in the cache ( far cry was the last game you played) it is skippable, but this isnt very practical as I play a lot more than just one game on my box.

Basically, does anybody know of a way to get rid of this video??
I have tried just deleting it but this causes the game to freeze where the vid would normally play.
Could someone convert, say a blank second long video to the same format to replace it with? would this work?
If anyone knows how to do this, but cant be bothered, pls either tell me, or point me to a tut etc and ill do it and share for other far cry players.

Just replace the long ass intro vid with a smaller vid.  First delete the long ass intro vid .bik, copy a smaller vid .bik file and rename that one with the name of the intro vid.  This will work, but you will have to wait an extra 2-3 minutes when the first map loads up.  Either way you have to wait for the game to cache the files it needs.

My suggestion is fire up Farcry, go get yourself a tasty burrito out of the fridge, microwave it for about 2-3 minutes.  Get yourself a frosty one out of the fridge, grab your burrito, and head back to the xbox.  Farcry should be ready to go at this point.

Anything else?

Vid or not, its still gonna have to cache the files as mentioned above.  Keep in mind, it's caching over 400MBs in files.

ya if you change the movie to a smaller one it just caches the files right before you load the first level that you play .. still shorter tho because if you listen while the original movie is running the loading stops about 3 quarters of the way through but yet the movies carries on ..
