several of us from that previous post started up www.recon2mods.com.  there's more info there than you'll find here (frohans here is vikingpower there, the rest of us used same names).  some info is posted on both.  sites pretty much dead due to lack of community interest in modding the game, though its very moddable with the exception of models and maps.
