Maybe we should sort out the results for him, we have

Yardyguy: 5 votes
MrJkwik:1
Roofus:3
Sniperkil:1
Bills:1

Im pretty sure those are all the live votes  smile.gif

I looked through quickly but yardyguy is dominant either way...HS said hed take maybe two, so its between Yardyguy, and Roofus then...

it's not about the quantity of votes. It's the details.

not sure that hs was incinuating that either one wasn't fit.  seems he was more or less saying that the numbers didnt matter.  just what was said about them, or what he knows of them.

personally, i dont think a mod needs to be the "most helpful" guy, though thats always a plus.  pretty much a mods job is to police the forum, make sure everything is legal and good, everyone remains on topic, and no one gets out of line. and a good attitude about it is always a plus.

with that, remember, my vote went to roofus.  i'm just saying being "helpful" isn't part of the "duties".  they do a good job at being helpful already.

Well, with the latest problems erupting on the scene with Ninjahacker, Halo 2, and the now infamous "Hot Coffee" mod plus all the "worrying" about LIVE hacking for cheating, this forum needs to be policed or other game developers will get pissed off.  It's not all about who can hack what and how fast they can release it.  The point of having a forum moderator is not to help the scene hack and release mods.  It is to make sure that the forum stays on subject and to keep unneccessary posts off of the board.

MrJkwik has more times than not helped someone with problems they have had and kept topics on subject without trying to gain credit for anything.  This is why I nominated him and he has re-inforced my thoughts as to why he would be good for this forum.  He seems to be mainly interested in the health of the forum while helping people at the same time.

My vote remains with MrJKwik because he seems very knowledgeable.  He is literate and legible with his posts and can keep things on subject while filtering out the discrepancies.  This seems like a strange push for a forum moderator, but I do not want to lose this forum because someone is more interested in releasing a "controversial" mod than keeping this place sacred.  We need someone that will be more interested in monitoring the forum than gaining credit for releases and that's why I believe we need MrJKwik here.

This is too important to gamble our chances of losing this forum on the choice of "hacking" intelligence over forum rules.
