Doom3 Loading

after you load the game once the contents will stay in the cache drive of the xbox.. if you put another game in it then it will clear the cache and you will have to wait for it to load again, but if u only play doom3 then u never have to wait for it to load after the first time

you can always relink/crosslink the xbe to load up black screens instead of those intro videos, and right now i'm testing just deleting the videos which works in lots of games to bypass intros, not to mention saves space

ok you can definately delete the following load up files
atvi.bik
idlogo.bik
introid.bik
introloop.bik
vvintro.bik

however loading time is still long the first time it's loaded when info isn't in cache, and it will probably seem like longer time because it's just a black screen with the pentagram flashing in top of screen. so it looks like probably even if you crosslink the files it will still take awhile to load up as it transfers ~450meg to z partition (by default when other partitions are blank)

QUOTE(AlucardXXVII @ Apr 1 2005, 06:28 PM)
I've backed my game up, and it will fire up off of the hard drive but when I get to the Menu and press Start, the game freezes.  Anyone else have this problem?

do you know the list of files it copies to /z/ before the game loads? i wanted to make a quick batch file for moving them there so i can skip the videos every time.
