I'm happy to try lend a hand this game is wicked, love it! I really think it could do with a dedicated forum or site.

Well I just  got the game havnt looked into the files that much but I was looking at some pretty interesting debug stuff Im going to try to get to work. Is there any interesting information in the save files? If so I could edit the xbe to accept unsigned saves. Unless somebody else already has the signature.

I have some hosting space so I would be happy to host a site dedicated to modding this excellent game, if there isnt already a site for this.  Anyone that wants to design the site (since I suck at web design) or use my host holla at me.  I don't know too much about modding this game either, but anything to help out.

i'm sure everyone has done this one by now but,

in the rs.ini file there is a godmode and infiniteammo tag
that can be turned on. i have found that with godmode on
any vehicle i'm in won't take damage and can't be destroyed.
 
also, has anyone else seen the UnlockSpecialCharacter tag in
the xbox.ini file that claims to be Han Solo?
maybe someone can figure out how to unlock him in a file.

there is an evox trainer that allows you to be several different characters.

also, i can set up a mercenaries modding site at www.elseagoat.com if i can get a big enough community.

hello all. can any of you tell me what a fidget is in the rs.ini? And what is that way at the bottom of the file. the line reads [F5] Mario64?   tia

I'd also like to add that this game is awesome. The development team did a wonderful job with everything including the terrain. I bought the game. I popped it in and entered a couple codes from oxm and before I knew Im in a red H1 4-wheeling up steep cliffs in the north east (to the Southeast pyongyang airport) I stopped for a second on a ledge, swung the camera around to look at the scenery and for a sec I swear I thought I was looking at a Hummer commercial!!!

I also liked how they used the pressure sensitivity of the X,A,Y,B Buttons specifically in the climbing and decent of the choppers.

After opening the folder for this game and looking at the rs.ini file. I thought "Is this a joke" I can't believe they left everything pretty much wide open to toy around with. It's almost like they did it on purpose, for us.  It's good though because for some reason I feel I got more game. More bang for my buck.

This game is the grandtheftauto of war.

Again to the development team     :beer:

well, its been a while since i looked at this(had alot going on), but i have a fresh mind again, and have alot of free time on my hands..
thanks for everyones reply's, i am sorry for the late reply but if anyone is still interested in cracking open this game i will glady assist, this game needs some good mods, i have a load of awesome ideas, as im sure everyone else does

now lets make the game developers proud(or pissed heh) and make this game ours

I still can't figure out exactally what to put in the ini file to spawn different vehicles, ie the apache.  I've tried everything I can come up with in all the different ini files I could find in the game that resembles anything to which you all have been reffering but with no luck.  Any detailed info about what to put and where would be greatly appreciated.  I'm beatin my head in trying to figure it out.

Hi there i changes some stuff to make the game more real you can walk up some hills ones you could walk up in real life and changed damage of weapons to make them more real like rocketlauncher now blows stuff up rather than just moving it c4 dosnt so you can send stuff into the sky i think that cool now the levels i have changed weather it now rains more not all the time but more and there's wind on all the levels all different strengths changed sky textures not the texture but applyed others to different parts of the level oh and it snows sometimes and alot of other changes.

Let me know what you think.

Probs with this is  when you start a new game the first part of the level is like snow and hard rain it looks daft but once youve do the mission it stops cant fix it tryed but all the rest of the stuff work 100% hope you like it.

Which file did you add (SpawnObject       template_allies_apache) too?
If I wanted it to spawn at kusong. would it be sw.ini or nw.ini?
Please give us all an example as multiple request for this single edit have been asked alot.
