Yes there is already a complaint thread about this. It is bad in fact. But, it also protects piracy issues since most people who just download the game can't play it on live. It's a good game regardless, and anyone who says they can't afford live is just bs'er unless they don't got broadband or dsl. You get it free with all the new live games. Just use those 2 month codes. It's not that hard.

I have heard some small rumors that a system link downloadable content item might be released via Live.

But, other than that, there probably will never be a system link patch made. It just isn't possible

if you rename army.xbe in default.xbe u can play offline the multiplayer map(?).
i'm not have try in with 2 xbox linked but think is possible.

if someone can try in system link and report here..
