Downloadable Contents

There's a tutorial by Rip a.k.a. Phr0z3n, on how to transfer downloadable contents from one Xbox to another Xbox.  He has two Xboxes, and one has Xbox Live, so he has no trouble getting the downloadable contents, but what about those who only have one Xbox and no Xbox Live?  The "usual" place doesn't have the downloadable contents.  The MechAssault downloadable content is 170 MB!  Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.  For obvious reasons, don't suggest that I purchase the retail game and subscribe to Xbox Live.
