Question On Eeprom And Download Content
« on: March 25, 2004, 01:56:00 PM »

can anyone please help either direct me to a guide or, give me some step by step info as to what it takes to install download content on the XBox?  I've I transferred Kola Cell for instance, over to my Xbox in the respective TDATA and UDATA directories, the save manager in the standard MSDash sees that it is there but the game does not.  I was told that I had to do something with my EEPROM? if so what? and with what program? also...  Where is there a good place to find DLC? because back before I began modding my Box, I bought a new one with a Samsung drive and Focus video chip and gave my other Box to my cousin, I'd like to at least get some of those DLC's back that I had once before for Splinter Cell and other games I had it for.

Relative forum? There is the XBox Live forum and Gamers Chat that will tell you the content is specific to the Xbox it was downloaded to.

It's EEPROM specific... you'll have to redownload the content.  You can't swap it between Xboxs.

somebody has to know this one person told me a pretty deep extent of it but stopped short on telling me exactly how lol.  Ok, I no longer have Live service, I moved out of Cable modem happiness and am miserably sitting in the shade lol I have an old Xbox and an Xbox with Samsung HD and Focus video chip.  My old Xbox has the content on it.  The DLC is EEPROM specific, so which files am I looking to alter the EEPROM info for? and what tool do I use to open my EEPROM.bin? XboxTool?

P.S. there has to be a places that I can chat in or a forum or web that I can visit in regards to DLC hacking relative stuff

Backup E: of the XBox with the content, and that Xbox's EEPROM too.

Using Xbox Saves Manager (www.xbox-saves.com) for your PC, transfer the content of that backup of E: to your Xbox without the content.

Then, flash that Xbox with the EEPROM of the Xbox that originally had the content.
