New Scenery Importing
« on: March 13, 2004, 02:52:00 PM »

congratulations to Allister on another scenery importing job! can some one help me a little with doing it? I would like to put the 343 Guilty Spark fire scenery in blood gulch but i'm having a lot of trouble with it. i have hht and hmt3 and sparkedit, but i don't know what files i need to swap  between levels, dependencies, recursives, etc... thanks

EDIT: also i was wondering how to make the sun in blood gulch go away, i think its in the lens section under sky/clear afternoon/sun but i can't remember if i want to switch it if i have to inject meta that is smaller that the 2032 bit meta, or bigger

Editing the color is easy.. you take the .dds file from hmt (its a bitmap) then extract and if u have adobe photoshop just get the .dds plugin and if you dont have that theres a program at halomods that converts dds files to bitmaps then u can convert back then when your done editing the picture just inject it back in.
