see what the extention is before you ftp it to your computer. or try looking at it in boxplorer. Don't know if that will help much but it might.

as well i posted a topic like this a while ago and no one responded.

after looking at it some more, it seems that some of the data right after the image is the pallette.  So a new image will probably require the correct information as well.

Oh yeah, it's interleaved as well.

You could open it with out the hex editing too, but you will lose all the information at the end of the file, including the pallette.  Use these settings, 64x64, Count 4, Interleaved, 8bits, header size 28 bytes. And hit ok about size being smaller.

well, it's not going to look exactly like that, you know you only have 16 colors to work with here.  Let me see what I can do, and I'll get back to you.

The icon I posted does look exactly the same as the icon you designed right (talking about the reaper)?  All of the colors are right, yes?

poop, i'm pretty sure I did everything correctly.  Inserted the same header and everything.  I'm not sure why it doesn't work, probably with all that information at the end of the file.  The palette should be perfect, and file size matches exactly I believe.  I don't know....

You removed the .raw at the end of the file right?

what we could have here at the end of the file after looking more closely is another copy of the image that use the palette of colors just before it as a reference.  Let me see if this holds up or not, i'll get back to you.

Yep, that's exactly what all that information is at the end.  Just an indexed version of the same image.  It's bascially like paint by numbers, you hava a palette numbered 0-15.  And each pixel is labled one of those numbers.  Maybe one picture is for in game, and the other is for design.  Not real sure though.  And if they do some sort of CRC check, then you might be screwed.  If you could find the same game files associated with the image and send them to me, it might help.
