A quick question/suggestion...

With the upcoming game save editor within HCE, will it be possible to generate new saves, or only edit existing ones?

Just wondering/thinking out loud.

Thanks for all the work you're putting into this prog XBOX War3z!

smile.gif
release date,.. cant really say one at the moment
depends on what I want to add, maybe I can make some more smaller releases smile.gif
gametype editor will only be editor for the moment, make add a default one so you can make 'new' ones smile.gif

things I want to get working:
- gametype editor
- cache backup/restoring (and use this then for patch creation wink.gif )
- maybe the small hex editor

network will be more for later, we got some probs with that tongue.gif

it would be nice if, instead of having to go thru every number when meta hacking, you would be able to select the digit and edit them seperately.

Try to get in touch with those over at Xbox-Saves.com for some help on that.

My only suggestion for HCE is batch processes.  Say, you want to do a mod (not in ppf) that requires you to change several offsets together to complete it.  Right now you have to either xxxxxxxx+xxxxxxxx+xxxxxxxx from the first offset to the last offset in order to get it all into one configurable option in HCE.  if your values change from the beginning of the cache to the end, your screwed into having to have 15 or 20 configurable options (a.k.a. Item0, Item1, Item2, Item3) that must be turned on in order to complete your mod.  With a batch option in the INI, you could just make one option that makes all the changes you play with most often.  Much quicker than changing 20 values spread out on seperate pages!  What do you think?

Great work so far, I love this program.

Think you could add a character editor so you could put accents in your characters name and stuff. Anyways, keep up the great work, I can't wait!

But then you would have to resign the save, and that is what he just said he is having trouble with.

got one variable that doesnt seem to work

got a bigger problem now, pc crashed, restarted and opened my hce project again, had a lot of changes and had to sort everything again
now I can't even open the gametype editor thing in hce,
tried debugging it but it doesnt give me a clue where the error happens :'(

but on a side note, source is pretty much cleaned and useable by other people so I think it's about time to put the source up on sourceforge smile.gif

[edit]about the virtual keyboard, it will have most normal accents and offcourse the special tags like %x-button,...
