Ppf Convertor
« on: January 13, 2004, 10:11:00 AM »

This has probably been discussed before but if it has think of it as a new appeal to anyone with any kind of coding skill.

Would it be possible for anyone to write a program which could directly (or use the output files from PPFinfo) to convert a PPF from NTSC to PAL and vice versa?

I've seen people suggest using HMP before, but I don't see how I can use this to convert a PPF (if anyone can help with this I would greatly appreciate it).

I know of lots of PAL users who would like to be able to use things like the turret mod, and more recently AI in BG, but can't. Also I would like to release my own PPFs in NTSC and PAL formats, but I can't.

PLEASE can someone help, thanks.

YES I have tried searching so please don't flame me!

yup HMP is the way to go, you'll need the original cache and the ppf
it'll generate the ppf for all levels sp/mp pal/ger/ntsc
get it at http://forge.halomods.com

QUOTE
at this point in time, I consider HMP obsolete (and rarely used) As such, this page is still here for historical purposes only.

In my old downloads I also found Iron_Forge's offset convertor program. I think its only for offsets listed in the output files, and I'm not sure how well it works, but if anyone wants it email me at [email protected] and I'll send it to you ASAP.
