I have tried to replace the tank with a recreation of the PC rocket hog for my XBox but I have no luck there. If anyone else gets it to work feel free to share how.

I know what it is now. It's called meta duplicating. You take the meta of say the Warthog and copy it then replace it with the tank. But the Warthog is smaller so now you have to add in zero's. You have to know when to stop adding zero's though so you get some output lists and see what comes after the Warthog. You stop where that meta begins. You have to do that then you have to switch the values of everything (vehicle, collision model, texture) then you should be able to edit the model of the other warthog while keeping the original the way it is. Worked like a charm for me!

yes, we're talking about having say a blue hog and a red hog.

Thanx allister, I appreciate the help you gave me. I have not successfully done this yet but this is because of time limitations but I am sure it will work. Again thanx for the valuable replies.
