Gaming Life After Gta Vc Hacks

I know that this is an old thread, just thought that perhaps there still needed to be some light shed. First things first, anytime that you use any sort of mod that changes the main.scm file you cannot use an old save game. Secondly, the boat thing is actually the acceleration modifier in the handling.cfg file, if you put it back to normal the boat will be fine. The thing to remember about modding the handling.cfg file is always have a backup of your original and a backup of your last known working cfg file, this way you have a reference to look at. About modifying the boats, bikes, planes, and helicopters; there is another section of modifiers down at the bottom of the handling.cfg file that controls a lot of the other attributes that are normally associated with these sorts of vehicles (thrust, yaw, planing of the boats, etc.) keep this in mind when trying to tweak out that last little bit. One last thing about FlashFXP, it doesn't like to automatically refresh the site that you are on. If you just use the "reconnect: X" button on the quick connect menu it will just connect to the last site and not refresh the listing. Hope that clears up some confusion.

This is odd, when I went to put ko-gar's main.scm file back on my Xbox, I noticed that after the freezing, the main.scm that was on the Xbox in the data directory had been deleted some how. The one in the cache remained though.

I am having the same trouble as the other guy, in pimpys post.  Whenever I push the gas on a boat is sends me boosting out of the air?  How do I fix that?

About Diaz 2nd mission, the helecopter one, i had the same problem as you guys.  What I did was delete the five files of Pimpys hack and then loaded back in the originals.  When i tried the mission again everything worked fine and the helecopter didnt crash in a couple of second.  After I completed the mission I loaded back in the 5 files of Pimpy's.

Maybe this will work for yall too.  I had tried the mission like 10 times and it crashed every single time, then i did that and everything worked, so it cant just be a fluke or something.

Crazyj0202, I am pretty sure the numbers in the handling file will begin next time you play the game whether it is a new game or an old save. I changed the BF Injector's numbers with ones that came listed in the readme of ko-tar's multimod, and it appears to have changed. I think I messed up a little, becuase in addition to increased weight, it has NO back tires. It drives fine, but is noisy.  I wish I understood the values better, I would like to make the motorcycles like really heavy, just to see how it goes.

Thanks for the tip, I will try taking just pimpy's files out for the mission. I thought it was the gun from ko-tar's mod, but I proved that wrong in a test run.

AHX, in Pimpy's thread, some one said he has been busy. He was working hard on this for us, so i am sure he will keep doing what he can.

Well originally Japanfred was making an app to activate Pimpy's hacks. I talked to him and he is just way to busy to make it now. I don't know if he found anyone to take over or not. If any of you can do it, please do. I would if I could, but I can't. I do plan on learning C++, but I am a slow learner, like GTA4 will be out before I'd know what to do, lol.

I don't like the cop car hack at all, I want to change that back. I drive over them by accident ALL the time, and about 25% of the time, I get a star when I don't want one I guess we could read up on the PC modding of the games, but I have some problems that prevent much concentration.

Crazyj0202, I forgot until today about what you told me to try about deleting Pimpy's files, then do the mission and put them back after. I will have to remember to do it later. Memory loss goes along with my concentration troubles.

smile.gif   I am just eager to get to use the program.  The screen shots looked awesome.

I would do it, but I decided to learn JAVA instead.  I know it has alot of the same principles but I forgot alot of the JAVA stuff.

Let me know.

OK, I just appended it to a post I had just made on the hacking thread. I asked if anyone could do it. I hope so, if not we need some one to tell us how the hacks were done, preferbly Pimpy himself.
