"I go to gameFAQs a lot and went to the GTA forum. I saw your post on there about the cars, which made me decide to come back to this thread. I am glad i did. It is fun. Its just weird the way some things work."
Thats just insane!! Gamefaqs is my homepage I've been there since late 97. Whats your name there??
"Aight guys I have a problem. I was adding some cars into Vice City, and I installed the wheel mod and I replaced the wheels.txd/.dff with the ones that guy posted (sorry i forget ur name). I followed instructions, etc. When I tried to load the game, it froze at about 10%. I kept undoing stuff, and got the same thing. I deleted the whole game, ripped it again, AND IT STILL FREEZES IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE. I don't understand how that is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks"
I can tell you 1 thing 4 sure. You dont need that wheels package that guy posted those have nothings 2 do with the wheel mod. That package just replaces the default wheels. Heres the steps I used 2 install the wheel mod also make sure you have version 3 (thats what Im using anyway)
1. Add this line to the default.dat file below MODELFILE MODELS\GENERIC\wheels.dff.
MODELFILE MODELS\GENERIC\nowheel.DFF
2. Change this line in the default.ide
# wheels: 250-257
Change it to
# wheels: 250-257, 249
3. Add this file to the \models\Generic folder.
nowheel.DFF
4. Add this line below the line 256, wheel_smallcar, generic, 2, 20, 70, 0 in the default.ide
249, wheel_lightmod, generic, 2, 20, 70, 0
