Deleting Game Videos?

I just got rolling which is great, love the game, patched the xbe so that it plays fine on ntsc except for the video footage is jerky.  there is a folder in the game labeled PALVideo, the game is almost 3gb and i want to make it smaller since the video footage plays choppy anyways.All that said, i was wondering what i can do with the videos?  Can i just delete the videos from the folder or will the game freeze when it looks for the video?  Can i just make a fake file named the same as the video?
