You shouldn't just come here and abuse other members aofdregininblood, esp when you don't know what you're talking about.

Yes, there is said bug, but you still cannot request the new xbe from someone, since it's still piracy. The only way you can legally obtain this is via the regular EA channel, as you've done. You're just gonna have to wait, or contact them and abuse them as to why it's taken so long.

technically, piracy means "The unauthorized use or reproduction of copyrighted or patented material: software piracy" Since i own the game and by law I can own 1 legal backup, this would in no way be piracy. I am sorry for requesting a xbe, did not see that that was not permitted, but it's not piracy (which is what J_man claimed I was speaking of) and therefore i reserve the right to call J_Man61 an idiot. Thanks Josh!

Well I'm no lawer, but making a backup of your own copy and requesting someone else's xbe (which is a DIFFERENT version xbe at that) are 2 totally different things.

Regadless of whether you're allowed to request xbe files or not, someone sending you their xbe is what I'd consider unauthorised reproduction....

Still, it's a funny area, since you do own the game, and you will get this new file in due course from EA...(side note, unless u have a mod chip, how are you expected to put this on your xbox? Do they just send you a whole new dvd? Or maybe an update dvd which loads the file one, like extra game content on demo discs).

It's like the extra Live game content being redistributed...I started a thread about that a while ago, and no one really come to the conclusion of legality - although it seemed more likely that it would be illegal than legal.
